HC Item Alert is an independent app that warns you before your matter is called in the High Court for the State of Telangana. This page explains what it collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What stays only on your phone

If you only use the app on screen, your cases (court number, item number, case number and any label you type) are kept on your phone and are not sent to us.

What we hold when you use the alert service

Information from the court

The app reads the High Court’s public display board and daily cause list, and shows case details from the court’s own public record when you tap a case. Where the court hides party names, the app hides them too, and party addresses are never shown.

Where it is kept, and who sees it

Your account and cases are stored with Cloudflare, which runs the alert service. A relay in AWS Mumbai fetches the court’s public pages; it carries none of your personal data. Alerts are delivered by your phone’s push service (Apple or Google) or by Telegram if you choose it. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Switching off phone alerts removes that phone’s push address straight away. Ask us to delete your account and everything held about you is erased within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it erased, and you can withdraw consent at any time by asking us to delete your account. Write to the contact shown in the app under Settings → Your account → Subscription. We reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and anything significant is announced in the app.
